Dix ans après son premier Best of, Vanessa Paradis sort "Best of et Variations". Le CD1 regroupe les singles les plus marquants de la carrière de Vanessa, de Joe le taxi à Il y a en passant par Tandem et Divine Idylle. Il inclue aussi les nouveaux singles de Vanessa depuis La Seine à ceux des albums "Love songs" et "Les Sources". Et bien sûr le tout nouveau single inédit Vague à l'âme soeur qui ouvre ce premier CD. Le CD2 s'intitule "Variations". On y retrouve bien entendu Dans l'univers, le déjà très populaire duo avec Nekfeu mais aussi ceux avec Gaëtan Roussel, le chanteur Israëlien Oren Lavie ou celui, plus rare, avec Etienne Daho sur la chanson Des Heures Hindoues. Y figurent également des covers enregistrées lors de participations à des albums hommages : Le Baiser ('Souchon dans l'air'), Angora ('Tels Alain Bashung'), Du bout des lèvres pour le 'Barbara' du pianiste classique Alexandre Tharaud. Aussi, des titres inédits issus d'émissions télé : de l'historique duo interprété au Festival de Cannes en 1985 avec Jeanne Moreau sur la chanson Le Tourbillon à celui avec Ben Harper sur Waiting for an angel, ou encore le très rare Stand By Me avec Willy Deville. Et beaucoup d'autres perles encore. CD 1 : "Best of", CD 2 : "Variations".

Biographie
Julian Lage (born December 25, 1987) is an American jazz guitarist and composer. In addition to leading his own group, Lage is a member of Gary Burton's New Quartet and Eric Harland's Voyager. He also has a duo project with Chris Eldridge. Lage has played with such renowned artists as Jim Hall, Mark O'Connor, Ambrose Akinmusire, Dayna Stephens, Walter Smith III, Taylor Eigsti, Gary Burton, Eric Harland, Larry Grenadier, Fred Hersch, Béla Fleck, Antonio Sanchez, and Nels Cline, among others.
